HIVE Trade Rewards Programme Terms and Conditions

 

Hive Trade Rewards Programme is a rewards programme where tradespersons can participate in Promotions in accordance with the Terms and Conditions below.

By signing up to one or all of the Promotions you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

 

Definitions

Account - Hive Trade Rewards Account

Eligible Product(s) – Hive products, excluding all Hive Electric Vehicle Charging points, available from one of the participating stores in the UK or Ireland listed in Article 4.7.2.

Promotion(s) – Referral Scheme, Cash Back Scheme and any other promotion added or amended from time to time.

 

1. PROMOTER

1.1 The Hive Trade Rewards Programme is made by Centrica Hive Limited t/a Hive (Registration No. 5782908) of Millstream, Maidenhead Road, Windsor, Berkshire, SL4 5GD (the “Promoter").

1.2 The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw and/or amend one or all of the Promotions at any time

 

2. PARTICIPANTS

2.1 A participant (“Participant”) is a person or a legal entity (company) who is resident in UK and Ireland. Subject to the above, the Promotions are open exclusively to tradespersons.

2.2 Employees of Centrica PLC, its subsidiary companies, their families, agents and other parties directly involved with the Promotions are excluded from participating.

2.3 The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of Participants and/or to exclude Participants at its sole discretion at any time for any reason.

 

3. HOW TO PARTICIPATE

3.1 To be eligible to access the Promotions, Participants will need to register for an Account through https://www.hivehome.com/rewards.

3.2 The Promoter may from time to time, contact Participants with a registered Account, in accordance with clause 6, providing access to new Promotions. If a Participant has not been contacted about a Promotion in which they wish to participate, the Participant is encouraged to contact the Promoter.

3.3 Membership is voluntary and free of charge.

3.4 The particulars of how to participate in each individual Promotion are listed below in Article 4 (Cash Back Scheme) and Article 5 (Referral Scheme.

 

4. CASH BACK

4.1 This Cash Back Scheme is open to Participants who purchase the Eligible Products in the participating stores in the UK or Ireland (“Eligible Purchase").

4.2 To take advantage of this Cash Back Scheme, purchases must be made between 01.01.2021 and 30.06.2025 (inclusive).  The Cash Back Scheme is not available on any second hand, refurbished or reconditioned stock.  The cash back claim can only be made through hivehome.com/rewards.

4.3 Fully completed and correct claim forms, together with a copy of the original receipt, must be received by the Promoter no later than 31stJuly 2025 by online submission using the claim form available at hivehome.com/rewards . Participants must provide their contact details including payment details.  Once a claim is received, the Promoter will send the Participant a confirmation of receipt by email.

4.4 Each cash back claim is limited to a single use and cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional voucher or cash back offer against the Eligible Products, as stated in Article 4.1.

4.5 Proof of purchase should be a legible copy of the retail receipt or invoice clearly showing the retailer name, date of purchase, product name and purchase price. Documentation submitted for this offer will not be returned.

4.6 The Promoter will pay the Participant 5% of the value of all Eligible Purchases claimed for in GBP via BACS transfer, within 60 days of validation of the Participant’s claim.  The Promoter will only make bank transfers to an account that is set up in the country where the Participant made the Eligible Purchase(s).

4.7 Limitations and exclusion

4.7.1 Retailers including participating stores may not submit claims on behalf of their customers.

4.7.2 The cash back payment of 5% shall apply to all Eligible Products purchased in any of the following participating stores: Screwfix, B&Q, Williams, Wolsey and Medlock. Participating stores may be removed or amended by the Promoter, at their discretion, from time to time.

4.7.3 The cash back claim form cannot be exchanged for cash.

4.7.4 Where the cash back payment constitutes a taxable benefit, any tax liability shall lie with and be the responsibility of the Participant.  Accordingly, if the Participant is charged by its bank, such charges may be deducted by the bank from the cash back amount. The Promoter will not be responsible for any deductions or costs accrued by a third party.

4.7.5 In the event that a Participant resells an Eligible Product to an end customer and the end customer returns the Eligible Product to a participating store, the Participant will not be entitled to claim cash back and any claim will be thereafter dismissed.  For the avoidance of doubt, this article does not prohibit in any way the end customer’s right to exercise their applicable statutory or warranty rights.

4.7.6 Purchases made on the following product lines between 16 January 2025 and 28 February 2025 will be eligible for an additional 3% cashback.  All other terms and conditions remain the same.

5. REFERRAL SCHEME

5.1 Either automatically, or at the request of the Participant, the Promoter will issue the Participant with a unique code to provide to their customers, to the email address linked to their Account. The unique code entitles the Participant’s customers to 50% off when purchasing a Hive Heating Plus annual plan through https://www.hivehome.com/redeem/hive-heating-plus

5.2 Each time a Participant’s customer residing within UK or Ireland purchases a Hive Heating Plus annual plan using the Participants unique code and the plan remains active passed the 14 day cool off period, it will amount to a Qualifying Purchase (“Qualify Purchase”).

5.3 Once 5 customers have made a Qualify Purchase, the Participant will receive a £30 voucher, to use on the Promoter’s website. The voucher may be used on all Hive products across the Promoter’s website.

5.4 The voucher will be emailed to the email address linked to the Participants Account within 45 days of the fifth Qualify Purchase.

5.5 Participant unique codes are only valid on Hive Heating Plus annual plans purchased on or prior to 30.06.2025. After the expiry date, all Participant unique codes will not be valid and any Hive Heating Plus annual plans purchased will not amount to a Qualifying Purchase.

5.6 Limitations and exclusions

5.6.1 Each unique code issued is personal to each Participant. A Participants unique code cannot be transferred to or merged with another Participant.

5.6.2 The Promotion entitles Participants customers to one reduced Hive Heating Plus annual plan and cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional voucher or cash back offer. Customers may not purchase multiple plans using the same Participants or multiple Participants unique codes.

5.6.3 Each Participants Qualifying Purchases may not be pooled with Qualifying Purchases of another Participant to redeem the £30 voucher.

5.6.4 Vouchers are only redeemable by the Participant in receipt of the voucher and cannot be transferred to another Participant’s Account.

5.6.5 Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash or alternative products.

 

6. DATA

6.1 The personal data of Participants that is collected upon registration, or subsequently during Promotions, will be processed by the Promoter for the purposes of carrying out Promotions, including quality control and analysis, and marketing.

6.2 In relation to carrying out Promotions, the Promoter relies on contractual performance as its legal basis for processing the data. In relation to quality control and analysis of Promotions and to marketing, the Promotor relies on its legitimate interest as the legal basis for processing except for direct marketing by electronic messaging where it relies on consent. The Promoter will make clear to Participants on the online registration form or elsewhere when it is asking for consent to direct marketing.

7. DISCLAIMER

7.1 The Promoter accepts no responsibility for;

    • vouchers and cash back claims lost or delayed;
    • cash back claims not received by the closing date;
    • unique codes or vouchers not used by the expiry date; and
    • loss or delay arising from out of date or incorrect contact information

7.2 Cash back claims will be disqualified if incomplete or illegible. It is the Participant’s responsibility to ensure that sufficient details are provided for claims to be processed.

7.3 The Promoter shall not be liable for;

  • any costs incurred by the Participant relating to the Promotions;
  • any failure to fulfil the Promotions where such failure is caused by any supervening circumstances amounting to force majeure (meaning beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control) and/or events which, without the fault of either party, render performance impossible or incapable of satisfactory execution;
  • any delay in issuing cashback claims or vouchers to the eligible Participants of the Promotions; and
  • anything outside of the Promoter’s reasonable control

7.4 The Promoter reserves the right to;

7.4.1 withdraw one or all of the Promotions at any time and/or to unilaterally change the Terms and Conditions without incurring any liability; and

7.4.2 verify the validity of any Promotion claim and to reject any claim if there are reasonable grounds to believe that, a Participant has;

  • tampered with the process;
  • not complied with the Terms and Conditions; and
  • committed any form of fraud, illicit behaviour or gained unfair advantage by fraudulent means.

If a Promotion claim is rejected in accordance with this Article

7.4.2 the Promoter may, at its discretion, remove the Participant from the Account platform and will have no responsibility for cash back claims or vouchers not yet received at the date of removal and any prior cash back claims or vouchers shall be forfeited. The Promoters decision is final and they reserve the right not to enter into detailed correspondence with the Participant on the matter.

 

8. JURISDICTION

8.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the country in which the Participant has entered into the Promotions and come under the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of that country.

 

9. GENERAL

In case of inconsistency or conflict between these Terms and Conditions and any other communications including advertising of the Promotions, the Terms and Conditions will prevail

 

10. KEEPING US UPDATED

10.1 It is the Participants responsibility to keep the Promoter informed of up-to-date contact details including but not limited to the Participants email address.

10.2 For the purposes of the Cash Back Scheme, the Participant must also keep the Promoter informed of up-to-date bank account details.
